Panjabi Paneer Sabji Recipe
Ingredients
- 250 g paneer, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ⅛ tsp Prayosha Meera Hing Powder
- ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder
- ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1½ tsp Prayosha Meera Sabji Masala Powder
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp fresh cream (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
Step by Step Guide
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and lightly fry the paneer cubes until golden on the edges. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add ½ tsp cumin seeds and ⅛ tsp Prayosha Meera Hing Powder, then sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and the tomato puree, along with ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder and ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add 1½ tsp Prayosha Meera Sabji Masala Powder and a little water to form a gravy. Simmer for 5 minutes, then gently add the fried paneer cubes.
- Stir in 2 tbsp fresh cream if using, season with salt to taste, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot with naan or paratha.
