How to Make Chicken Masala Curry at Home
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken, curry-cut
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 3 tbsp oil
- ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Prayosha Meera Chicken Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Coriander Powder
- 2 green chillies, slit
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
Step by Step Guide
- Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste and the slit green chillies, and cook for a minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato puree, ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, and 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Coriander Powder. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add the chicken pieces and 2 tsp Prayosha Meera Chicken Masala Powder, and mix well to coat the chicken. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15–18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Add salt to taste, garnish with 2 tbsp coriander leaves, and serve hot with rice, roti, or naan.
