How to Make Chicken Masala with Potatoes at Home
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken, curry-cut
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 3 tbsp oil
- ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Prayosha Meera Chicken Masala Powder
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
Step by Step Guide
- Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and lightly fry the potato cubes until golden on the edges. Remove and set aside.
- In the same oil, add 1 bay leaf and chopped onion, sautéing until golden brown.
- Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree, and cook with ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder and 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder until the oil separates.
- Add the chicken, fried potatoes, and 2 tsp Prayosha Meera Chicken Masala Powder. Mix well, cover, and cook on medium heat for 15–18 minutes until the chicken and potatoes are fully cooked.
- Season with salt to taste, garnish with 2 tbsp coriander leaves, and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
