Street Style Pav Bhaji Pull Apart with Pav Bhaji Masala
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ¼ cup capsicum, finely chopped
- ¼ cup tomato, finely chopped
- ¼ cup boiled potato, mashed
- ¼ cup boiled green peas
- ¼ cup boiled cauliflower
- ¼ cup grated beetroot
- ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Pav Bhaji Masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
- 1 loaf of pav (bread loaf)
- ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
Step by Step Guide
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add 2 tbsp butter. Stir until the butter melts completely.
- Add ¼ cup of chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw aroma disappears.
- Add ¼ cup chopped capsicum and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Then add ¼ cup chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
- Add ¼ tsp Prayosha Meera Turmeric Powder, ½ tsp Prayosha Meera Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, 1 tsp Prayosha Meera Pav Bhaji Masala, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Add ¼ cup boiled potatoes, ¼ cup boiled green peas, ¼ cup boiled cauliflower, and ¼ cup grated beetroot. Mix everything well and cook for 5–6 minutes.
- Mash the vegetables using a potato masher. Cover the pan and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the bhaji becomes smooth and flavorful.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp freshly chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Take 1 loaf of pav and make deep cuts or cavities in the center of each pav without separating them. Place the loaf on a baking tray and fill each cavity with the prepared pav bhaji.
- Top with ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese, cover the loaf with aluminium foil, and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. Serve the hot Pav Bhaji Pull Apart immediately.
